abs engages any thoughts
My abs wants to come on without pressing the peddle. I had the fluid changed and the sensors cleaned and it still engages. Any help would be appreciated. My 850 turbo does not have the module that you solder. It has the plug in controller.
I'm pretty sure that the Volvo system uses pressure from the pedal to operate. It doesn't have any type of resevior to save pressure and operate on it's own. I'm trying to figure out what it is that is happening in your system.
Is it that you hear it trying to modulate or pulse or is a wheel actually locking and releasing? What year do you have and do you have a check engine light at all ??

I have a 1995 850 turbo. The abs kicks in and there are no fault codes to read. I pump is kicking in. I pull the fuse and wait a little and then put the fuse back in and it works fine for a while and then it will do ot again. I had the brake fluid changed and all the abs sensors were cleaned. Again there are no fault codes either.
Yes the ABS kicks in for some reason. Then I pull the fuse and it resets itself and you can drive normal. After a ahile the abs kicks in again. So my daughter has to drive with the fuse out for now
