ECC or MCC?
Is your switch on 0 or auto?

when its on do you have a variation of speeds when you move the slider?

Could be a bad resistor but we need more info on the problem..

Do you have the automatic climate control or the manual?
I know in doing some research that your symptoms sound a lot like it's the blower motor resistor but it's been a while since I was in those posts.

I will check the links provided. The blowing speed is constant (at the highest) and the the compressor is not coming on if I turn the ac on.Also, the orange light which indicates the ac being off isn't coming on either

Sounds like a resistor

Is there more than one resistor for the blower?

That light might just be a burnt out indicator but shouldn't have anything to do with your problem.

There is only one resistor but there is a completely different blower motor resistor for the ECC from the MCC. You need to find out which you have. Do you actually set it to a temperature by number or just turn the dial to increase or decrease the output?
