I have a 96 850 turbo... and the ac compressor kept turning on and off, and I found out that means low refrigerant... so I refilled it,and it was blowing very cold airand it stayed on instead of keep turning on and off... and as soon as i turned off AC , it would turn back on... any Ideas?

 

Sorry, but I have to ask a stupid question.You turned off the ac switch or turned the fan speed to 0? What happens when the ac switch is off and turn the temp to 70 degees and distribution is not on defrost????

 

If you turn the fan switch to "0" it should turn off the AC compressor. That is how it works on our 95 with the auto climate control
