Of course i have a 1997 850, which kandn does'nt make an intake kit for. I have searched the web for ideas, but have come up dry. I read an article about some fellow in australia making his own intake, sort of. Here's what he did: He removed the old intake hose from his airbox and routed 100mm hose throught the trand oil cooler pipes and around the front a/c condensor so it gets the ram air effect under the bumper. Something about this seems odd, plus responses to his post posed the question "what happens when you his a large puddle?" since the hose will be about 10 inches off the ground, i could see this being a problem. Ok are you turboed or N/A?

If your turboed you have options. Have you even searched for Volvo intakes other places? If not you need to look at this thread that I have linked below.

For turbocharged models IPD USA, EuroSportTuning, BMC CDA all make intakes for the 850. Also if you can find it Pipercross makes them for the Volvo's.

If your N/A you have the option to custom make one. Same goes for the turbo model if the premade ones don't suffice for you.
