Does anyone have experience changing the bulbs in the auto climate control? How hard is it, and what bulbs do i need? I figure that while i have it apart I'll change all of them...

 

Yes I've done it in a few cars but don't remember. Lol I think 1 car had medium size bulbs and another had smaller bulbs that were harder to get at. I do know they had the blur rubber tips on them to make the light shine whiter.

 

The ACC is easy..

#74 bulb there are 3 of them

Pop out the cc, there are 4 screws holding the face on
pull the face forward
youll see the green wires going to the bulb sockets, twist and remove..

Pop your new bulbs in and DONE..

Easy

you actually dont need to cut and widen.. Even more so if you go LED

 

I went with LEDs, like the crisper whitish blue color. They fit fine.

Well, pulled the acc out, took out the screws, pulled old bulbs, put in leds, and reassembled. 30 min or so and all is well. Thanks again all!

You want the wide angle ones.
The SMD ones are bright but arent uniform
thr high power ones will create bright spots.

The wide angle ones are a little dimmer but still a hell of alot brighter than the stock bulbs and they give complete coverage.

when it comes to the LED conversions you want the ones that look like this

 

These are the ones I bought. You get four for under $5 bucks and free shipping. They just barely fit into the holes but didn't need any modification.
