Air Pump operation

On a 1996 850 should the air pump always run? Or does it just run during cold start-up and when control valve is activated?

It is only supposed to run after COLD start up and it will run for anywhere from 30 seconds to 1.5 minutes.

If it keeps running all the time check the Relay for water in the relay.

Air Pump Relay LOCATION

I'm looking for the location of the Secondary Air Pump RELAY so i can inspect it.

Does anyone know where this bugger is located?

According to the wiring diagrams for the 850 there isnt a secondary air pump relay.

However I have found a vague reference to one which points to either above, or in front of the radiator on the left hand side.
