Default Air won't stop blowing at full blast.

Just got my '94 850 turbo back up and running after about a 1 year long hiatus. It has some issues, but I want to use it as a work vehicle while I redo my house (mostly hauling plaster chunks) and some other things.

Changed the oil and got a new battery the other day and it's running good, but the only thing is that the air runs at full blast no matter what the settings. The AIR and REC lights blink for a while and then go off after a few minutes.

I did some quick searches and I kinda figure that my control box may be fried. Just a total guess on my part. But I did sense a sort of faint burnt electronics smell for the first minute it was on.

I don't really care too much about whether or not the air works.

So the question is what can I do to get it to stop blowing at full blast?

Thanks a lot, this is the first of, most likely, many questions!

well if you want it to just not blow at all just unplug the blower motor, or pull the fuse for it.

now if you want to actually fix it so it works properly, thats a different road you gotta head down that we can help you with

Ah yes, very obvious... Is the blower motor easy to disconnect?

I would attempt to fix it, but usually drive with the windows down and it would be about #10 on the list of things to do.

Thanks again!

check to see if there is a fuse first (i cant remember if there is or not)

other wise the blower has a plug at the feet of the passenger. (need to remove the panel to get to it)

Pulled the fuse. Worked just fine.

Probably should have figured that one out myself!

Thanks a lot.
