Alarm Relay Problem!
OK My Alarm Relay was said to have an internal fault. I went to the dealership in my area and they believe that this is what is causing the hazard lights to stay on even when the car is off. Right now I have the Fuse for my hazard lights off to prevent the battery from draining. Is there any truth to this. If I replace my Alarm relay, should the hazard lights/turn signals start functioning properly?
Maybe, maybe not. It depends on how thorough the techs were. You can remove the relay (210/211) and it should stop it but it will also immobilize the car as the starter won't work.
In order to get around that you need to look at the base of the 210 side of the relay and locate the markings 50E and 50F. Fashion up a jumper wire that goes between those socket positions on the car. It should start and run normally with no more alarm lights.
If you decide to ditch the alarm altogether Volvo sells a "dummy" 210 relay that has the jumper built in.

When the lights flash does the light in the hazard switch flash as well?
If so I would look at the hazard switch first.
If not then I would look at the alarm relay.
Also when it happens does the horn under the hood make noise?
