Default Another Junk Yard score

So my buddy made me go to the junk yard with him today because I havent been out of the house much in the last week or so. I've been sick, and it was at least warmer than it has been here today.

Found a 1996 855T in the yard. Definitely a base model (it didnt even have traction control) but the body was in good shape.

But the good part: it had a genuine volvo rear wing on it. Which is now in my garage awaiting paint. =) w00t w00t!

Sorry these took so long...when i scuffed it, some of the clearcoat came off, so i had to do some body fill on it before i could prime and paint.

yeah not too bad. my total investment in buying the wing with brackets, body filler, primer, and paint is less than $30.

Good job! I want a wagon to haul large junk in from time to time but the 960 has the largest gate opening. Not sure if any of them will take down a average size frig or washer or dryer??

Had I the opportunity, I would have chosen the station wagon 855 over my 850 GLT. I just like wagons. However, you have a valid point. I too want to be able to haul larger loads -but I do not want to buy another vehicle. My solution was to install a trailer hitch. Now I am in the market for a trailer. It's a lot cheaper to have a trailer than buy a pickup truck. Ibified can do the same for larger loads.

I have a hitch on my 960. Maybe I'll get a ball for it and barrow trailers when I need to do something. I have tossed a couple of freezers in the back of a Jeep when we had one.
