The stereo already has a harness, most people just tap into those wires. If I had to go through the firewall, I would likely go through with the cruise or turbo vac lines.

no i know how to wire in all the speakers and power to the radio. Im installing a power wire for the amp. and i have to take it through the firewall, my car is n/a so i have no idea where the turbo vac lines would be ran, im not familiar with boosted Volvos lol.

Also, i was thinking about going in through by the throttle cable it just looked a little high up in the dash to go through there. I ran out of light to finish and i figured id ask before tearing anything up tomorrow lol.

What are your plans that require you to use a 0 gauge line?

I can't say this is the best place but I didn't hit anything on the other side. I removed the center console and ran the power and ground wire under it.
Works for me. I do need heavier wire but I plan to do that when I install a second battery.

The 850's have a flexi-tube with a rubber end on it in the engine bay. The rubber end has 4 little knobbly things on the end and has a matching one inside the car, run it in through that. That is where the cruise/turbo vacuum hoses would run if it had those options.

It should be between the brake booster and the side of the car, the rubber cap just pops off.
