for a 2001 S80 T6. this is the exterior black moulding around the windows -passenger and driver side on all 4 doors. A source advises me these replacement trim pieces(or decal) can be purchased at Volvo dealers. Has anyone done this (?), i.e. removed the old peeling trim and replaced it with new. I can't seen to find such pieces at any of the site listed Volvo "source" suppliers.

The easiest and best thing to do would be to have a body shop remove the old ones and paint the area black.
