Black smoke from exhaust

Car starcted to idle rough in traffic this morning and I noticed some black smoke and a rich gas smell.Check engine light did not come on. Any ideas? Could it be a vac line?

2-1-2 Oxygen sensor signal(front sensor on 94 and later models).
