My 1995 volvo 850's brake warning light turned on in the instrument cluster so stopped by the side of the road, i turned the wheels so i could see. On the driver's front side i saw a leak and i tracked it down to a little box right above the wheel, the box had 3 lines comming in to it. Anyone who can tell me what this box is called?

 

Are you talking about the box under the hood with all the brake lines coming out of it? If so, that's your ABS pump.
