Default brand new freebe to me

neighbor lady got tired of looking at her 94 850 sitting and came ove ran dsaid you want you take. so I DID
sitting for two years and has lots of sap to wash off.
it is here now and i connected the jumper cables and IT IS ALIVE!
i turn it off after a min or so.
here is the plan drain the oil fill and flush with motor flush run for 5 mins.
drain and YES FILL the engine with kerosene and let it sit for a couple of days then drain it all out and fill with fresh oil and filter.
change the plugs and run sea foam thru the vacuum and water displacement and seafoam thru gas tank . add fresh high octane fuel and see how she runs. so far i have 60.00 in to the project. and another 40 in to a battery.
this is my first venture to the 'V' so I am game for the ride.

any other suggestions folks
thax in advance.

timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, change oil, change coolant, drain ATF, air filter, PCV system, cabin air filter, and at least clean the O2 sensors.

Sounds like a lot, but you could do all this in a weekend if you wanted to spend the time on it.

This is what's recommended to get your car to a good solid "stage zero" which means that everything is in excellent and original running condition.

By the way - congrats on the freebie - you suck! LOL

Kerosene is a waste of time and money, except to remove the sap.
Have fun.

here we are a couple weeks later i have decided to either sell as is or donate the car.
i just do not have the time to do the work. as much as i know that i can do the work i am not sure i want to put that much time and money in to this project. I have another car to keep working on 1990 camry (daughters car) needs a p/s rack and distributor "o" ring. and get the hail dents out and we are done with that one. so any takers or offers fort worth texas

ditch the pos camry specially if it already needs that much work, and fix the volvo, my friend had a 89 camry that thing only had 180k on it and was falling apart horribly. Just my opinion, if i was closer id be all over it

A nonturbo wagon for any teenager for safety and lack of power may be the way to go. Good-luck.

still looking at getting the beasty running.
waiting for some extra cash (that money thing again kinda like that pesky global warming)
first the battery then the easy stuff. we'll see what it needs and then the big decision of what to do.
so no up dates still
