Broken hoses

I was doing my rotor and cap today. I'm not sure of the part name but it's the thing that hooks through the bottom of the airbox and has the hoses attatched. I'm pretty sure all the hoses are brittle and broken. I hooked everything back up and took it for a drive around the block. It ran ok. I'm def going to replace those hoses but I don't have time for a few days. Am I cool? What exactly am I looking at? One thing I noticed is that my miles til empty indicator went from 60 to 10 after a 1/2 mile trip.

The Turbo Control Valve? That has 3 hoses and an electrical connector, and screws to the side of the airbox. If those hoses are getting bad, it would definitely be a good idea to replace them. I did mine when I had everything torn down....it's not a bad idea to replace ALL your vacuum lines.

Yes that's def it. The only thing I noticed is that the turbo doesn't stop spooling so I have to control it from the throttle and watch the gauge so it doesn't get too high. Thanks for the info. Is there anything I should know about the replacement? I pretty much saw where everything goes but I'd like to see if there's a write up with this procedure.

Changing the vacuum lines is pretty straightforward. I'd advise you to only remove one at a time though - that way you dont mix anything up. There's also the possibility that the TCV is bad on your car. if you replace the hoses and still have the same issues with boost being regulated, that's where I would start looking. Fortunately, they are easy to replace - they are held to the airbox with 2 screws. I have an extra one that works, so if you still have issues after replacing the hoses, let me know and I will see if i can hook you up.

Stylin shows assorted size vacuum hoses in there kit that says it has enough for the 850's
That's a little confusing cause We only have one size vacuum hose on our cars.
I got 14' of silicone hose from iPd at there last garage sale/car show for both my S60R and 850R. I ended us with about 4' left over.

And a BIG +1 to what ibfied said about only replacing one hose at a time. It's really easy to mix up what hose goes where in the BCS.
