super excited. the only bad thing is big dent in left rear door and that the engine runs but apparently has no power and bogs out when accelerating. ill keep you guys posted on what the issue is. but for $1500 ill takethe chance.
Congratulations!!!!
I don't think many T-5R owners are on this forum however if you search my username, I have posted allot of information on this amazing model. Unfortunately I have stopped posting data on the T-5R because members feel it's redundant.
How many miles are on your T-5R? What month was it built in?
Please let us know how we can help you enjoy your V8 killer

Is it the car with the dent in the door? LOL
I never believe people when they say "this used motor has low miles". How can that be proven? I consider any white block I5 with less than 200,000 miles to be a low mileage motor. I would do a compression test prior to buying it unless $1,500 is worth it to you knowing that you need to replace the motor. I would still do it. If the car fax isn't real bad (rebuilt/salvage title) and the car isn't rusted out, I'd buy a T-5R shell for $1,500 (when I write shell, I mean no motor or tranny).
Mine had a bad tranny when I purchased it 1,500 miles away. I drove it 2,100 to get it home (several visits between A and Z).
Expect to have to do a lot to get the car in shape. Anyone that would leave the door dented likely left other maintenance and repairs undone. Just take your time. I'd try to get a white door and have it painted to match.

Yep that's the one and I already plan on pulling motor and rebuilding it. But it could be something simple. I figure for 1500 screw it. Yeah I have had 2 850 volvos before and I work at independent Volvo/saab shop and have full use of factory scan tool and all other factory tools.
Okay. Well all the pictures were old pictures before this self proclaimed Volvo guy took the original motor out and sold it. And proceeded to put another motor in it and had all the wiring all over the place. Needless to say I offered him $500 and I'm glad he said no because it is a parts car and none of the parts were in good shape. I could go on and on. Sorry I'm just venting after driving for 8 hours and coming back with nothing.😭😠
Okay well on to the next one. Gonna buy one in San Diego next weekend. He has service records and was very up front with everything and I just need to fix a few oil leaks and a rim and the windshield and it should be a great car. Fingers crossed. It's a little more than I want to pat $3800 but I think it's a decent deal. What do you think rspi.
LOL, I have not seen it nor do I know what issues it has. I sold my yellow sedan for $5,900 so I think they can be worth a little if in good shape.
AutoCheck, decent condition in and out, runs well, decent compression and you should be fine.
