a/c going in and out
Hi,
i've looked up the previous posts about reshimming the clutch and i'm just not sure if it applies to me. i've got a 97 n/a 850 with 75K miles on it. the a/c was working fine until i floored it a couple times. then the a/c went out and now it goes out and comes back on intermittently. I've noticed that when it's super hot out (I live in Phoenix) the A/c tends to work less during the day than during the night. even in the day though, i can feel that the a/c is turning on and then turning off. I checked the freon level and it's fine. I was thinking it's the clutch of the compressor based on the posts i've read--if that's what you think it is, could you provide the initial steps to get to it? i've seen some posts on what to do once it's out but quite frankly i don't even know where the a/c compressor/clutch is.
thanks a lot in advance
