Question Camshaft seal replacement

Hi Guys,
I have a leak coming from my camshaft and was told I need to replace the seal. I purchased the seals from FCP and was told that each engine needs 2 seals. On all the write-ups I have seen it shows one seal. Is there a write up on how to replace the 2 rear seals.

Thanks for the help.

Not really sure if it matters but what model car and engine do you have?

My manual has two seperate proceedures for the front and rear. It looks like the transmission has to be removed for the rear one.

I take that back, that was the CRANKSHAFT. The instructions for the camshaft seals say to take the timing belt off, remove the camshaft pulleys, then pry out the seals.

Of course it says not to let the cams turn.

It is a volvo 850 GLT 2.4 non-turbo. It is the rear seal that is behind the cam sensor. I think the front is the one on the timing belt side(Learn that from this forum). Hope this helps more.
Thanks again

I think he means the 2 rear cam seals. Those are easy- take off the distributor cap, rotor, rotor mounting, cam sensor, and cam sensor signal ring, pop out the old seals, and press the new ones in. When installing the distributor rotor mounting, make sure it goes in in the right direction. It's keyed, but it's still possible to install it backwards. Same goes for the cam sensor signal ring.
