Default CEL P0236 knock sensor performance

Hello Volvo fans,

I have a 1995 850 GLT sedan with 133,445 miles that runs great but has logged a trouble code P0236.
Is this a common failure. Any recommended tests to verify a knock sensor failure? Engine does not exhibit detonation on acceleration.
Resetting the code keeps the CEL light off for about 5-10 minutes of driving then sets the same code.
Any ideas and thoughts are appreciated.

First make sure its plugged in securely...if it is, its probably bad. The knock sensors are mounted on the front of the block, under the intake manifold. There are two of them
