Default check engine codes

My check engine light came on and I know that I can check the code myself; but I am not sure how to make the computer to start displaying the code. I also do not know when to start reading the code, also where can I find what the code means?

In the Fequently used threads there is a post about DTS and it shows what the codes mean, but I still cannot tell which area its under A1, A2, etc.

The codes I have are:
A2: 4-1-3 ERG temperature sensor; what is this
A3: 4-2-4 Pressure switch for TRACS, faulty or short circuit (tracs works)
and 1-4-2 Faulty brake pedal switch, open or short (but ABS work fine)
A7 1-2-2 trip computer Temp. sensor interval too long

Do A2 and A7 problems relate to eachother? And I am not too concerned about the A3 (ABS problems the seem to be in good working condition)

A2 and A7 are not related.
The EGR valve is located under the intake manifold under the throttle body.
There is a temp sensor in the EGR valve. The sensor might be bad.

That should not be related. How long ago was the PCV fixed? Maybe the sensor was left unplugged?

Maybe the plug was left unplugged. The plug goes to by the transmission dipstick.
