Default Check Engine Light on, need help!

So my time for a new sticker has come, only one problem, my CEL is on!

I've scanned my car and it says i have the following codes: "P0140" and "P0135"

I brought it to PepBoys and they said for the parts+repairs, everything would be $600+

REALLY!? Is it really that pricey? is there another way that I can fix my CEL and get a new sticker?

ANY help is appreciated! Thanks in advance

You can just erase the codes and that will turn the CEL out. Then see if the same codes come back. Not sure if that will get you a sticker though.

My advise. Get a second opinion. My experience with pep boys was not good, no! really bad. Long story but after I replaced an A/C compressor and drier and take it to them for a vacuum and recharge and they tell me I need a new compressor well DUH. I told them to just evac the system and charge to spec and the A/C worked perfectly.

I'd try Autozone. They'll read your codes and tell you what you need if you can DIY. they don't make money on service because they don't sell service, only parts.

P0135:O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P0140:O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

Kind of leads to both O2 sensors being bad. The heater circuit on the front sensor.
The rear sensor no activity.

Thanks alot guys! you are the best! I really appreciate everything

Since it seems that everything is pointing to my o2 sensors, I'm guessing I should get my sensors replaced.

Question is though, I've seen some "Volvo" sensors listed on some sites, but they're listed as universal sensors, would they be ok for my car? or is there a certain brand that I should look for?

much appreciated guys

This company is good. They now have lifetime warranty on parts.

Of course, FCP, always a good site, but out of curiosity though, what do you think about these tech?

They say direct fit, but then again I'm not the greatest car whiz so I figured I'd ask your opinion
