96 850; Stopped for gas, Shortly after continuing, motor started chugging( like it lacked gas or plugs cutting out0. Check engine lite came on. Limped on home, with car stopping, wait awhile, car starts again chugging, limp on a few miles etc all the way home. Suspected bad gas or water in tank. Changed fuel filter. Car started, but started doing same thing again-run a little while, then chugging down. Help anyone.

 

Had a friend of mine have that happen once. turned out that he put diesel in his fuel tank. Had to drain the tank and dump everything, then he ran premium through it with some seafoam and all was good after he changed his fuel filter.
