Question 94 850 non-turbo "chugging"

Well.....I know I must have messed up something...but don't know where to begin. Yesterday, I detailed my car and cleaned under the hood really well. It at first wouldn't start back up, then after sitting about an hour, fired right up, at which point I just parked it in the garage. Today, I started the car (it did fine), and was driving it (going about 7 miles), and it started "chugging" at low speeds, and dying at stop lights. Accelerating from stop, it acted like it was "misfiring" really bad, and had to keep it revved to about 3000 to keep it running, while shifting it into neutral, to make it back home.
SOOOOOO.................I am presuming I am going to need plugs, wires, coil, or ????????
By the way, NO codes are coming up at all. Where do I begin? Thanks a million!!

Start by popping off the distributor cap and inspect in there.

Pull the wires from the plugs and I will bet you find water in the holes around the plugs.

OK thanks!! If I should find water there, I suppose just drying the area good will be OK...or do I need to buy new plugs, also? I will if they look burned, obviously, but I mean, if they LOOK ok...is it going to be OK to just make sure that they and the area around them are good and dry? Thanks!

You should be back in bussiness if you clean and dry all the cables and spark plugs really nice.
