Default code problem

i have a 850 , code came up bad air pump ,changed air pump can't shut C/E light off ! i tryed the disconnect battery blow horn . this isn't the first volvo i owned , it seems every volvo i get ,gets worse and worse spends more time in my wallet than on the road ! all of them problem after problem , if its not starting, something is falling off it ! should have never sold my nissan ! ITS NOT A SAFE CAR ! and by the way got it from my sister in law who is a doctor always had it serviced (at volvo) and drove like a old woman , so i know the car wasn't beat . so how do you shut the C/E light off ? hundreds more to volvo ? and no code reader seems to shut it off also ?

Did you only replace the air pump?
Did you replace the valve on the back of the head to?
Is the valve working properly?
What happens when you try to clear the code with the scanner?

I do not have a pic handy. But there is a round valve like in the canter back of the head. It should have a hard purple line going to it. It will also have a Bigger rubber hose going to it. There is 2 10MM screws that hold it on. It is so so to get off. The screws go from like the bottom of the car up.
