Default Coolant leak?

1995 850NA. 200,000miles. On the driver's side of the engine, below the distributer, is a metal tube that connects to a hose that leads to the heater core...I always find anti-freeze right below that metal tube. So...it's (1) the hose connection- which I changed (2) the metal tube leading into the engine (3) maybe (oh, I hope not) a head gasket leak from above that tube- just hard to see, or (4)...I haven't a clue!!! When the engine is hot, I smell anti freeze. When you turn on the fan, anti-freeze. There is NO leak in the cabin from the heater core. Cabin interior is dry.
So...ideas? I changed the heater core last summer.

If there is coolant on the connector, that's the only thing there. If there is coolant on the ground in that area, It can be that line. Maybe the seal in the connector didn't seat right.

Go to the auto parts store close to you and purchase some cooling system UV dye. Hose it all down well so it's clean of any antifreeze and then add the dye to the system and take it for a drive. You should be able to take a black light and see a trail back to the source of the leak.

You mention you changed the "connection". How was it you did that ??
