Default Cooling fan being wierd?

I have a 95 850 turbo. When I run the air, the cooling fan is supposed to run, but lately its been coming on then going off. I replaced the relay, and still have the same issue. Is this normal if its not too hot? The engine seems to be running hotter- im guessing because of this fan issue when the AC is on

Check the high pressure switch.

Yes, and while you are at it, I suggest checking the charge pressure of the AC system too.

Where can I find the high pressure switch? The AC runs fine, it gets nice and cold. I haven't checked the pressure yet this season, I'll do that as well. I'm not sure if the fan turns on when the engine gets hot or not Iwithout the AC on). The other day I was driving down the freeway and traffic came to a stop and go jam for about 45 minutes. The engine never overheated, but the temp did riseup and downa little bit - I can't remember ifit was anormal amount of fluctation or not.

The high pressure switch in behind the passengers side headlight in the pipe.
There is 3 wires going to it. If you can try to find a used one and swap it out.
Testing is a pain and it isn't stuck in my head. I always have a spare switch to test with.
The switch controls the A/C compressor and cooling fan.

The fan coming on from the higher temp is a different circuit.

Thanks. I'll check it out. I'll also test the pressure.
