Arrow Cooling Fan Not Kicking On

Hello everybody. I noticed today my cooling fan is not kicking on in my 1996 850 non- turbo. Are there fuses for it anywhere? Or what else could it be? Oh, and the temp guage goes up to half way and thats it, it doesn't go any higher. I just hope I didn't hurt the motor, when I got home I had some antifreeze leakage but I couldn't tell from where though. Thanks!

Ck for 12V pwr at the red wire on the engine cooling fan relay, on the top of radiator; should be terminal A1. If you have pwr there, it's probably the relay...

Did you test the fan?

More then likely it is the relay. If you try and spin the fan by hand, does it spin freely?

Unhappy cooling fan problems

Going thru this myself now. '95 850 . Fan meltdown 2 months ago, got new one. worked ok for a while then got a boil over again. low speed fan quit, got a replacement reinstalled.
Noticed temp gage stayed at mid point after ign turned on-didnt move anywhere. Heater core leak bypassed for a couple of weeks.
New core, thermostat, temp sending unit & antifreeze installed this weekend. no change on instrument cluster temp gage.
How can I check the Relay for proper function?
Old sensor & stat. checked out good per "Chiltons"
Fan runs on Hi & Low speed when direct voltage put to red or green wire.

Am I missing something or is it Relay & maybe ECC

I don't really understand what you are saying you have a problem with. Is the car currently over heating or the fan at the radiator not working?

Fan runs all the time after starting but wont kick into hi speed when A/C selected. Keeps running for 3 min after ign turned off.
Temp gage goes to & stays at mid point, after ign switched on.
Fan keeps running for 3 min after ign. turned off.
How can I check relay for proper function?
How can I check yellow & yellow/white wires to relay? (Volts or Ohms @ diff temp from ECC,ECU)
