Just bought a used 850 turbo 94. Don't know when the timing belt was changed, so I'm going to change it ASAP. However, I can't see to determine the correct timing belt kit for my 94. I see some information states if the serial number is after 131xxx then it is the same kit as 95 to 97 850s. However, if it is less than that, then it is a different kit for 93 to 94 850s.

On my timing belt cover, I see 2 sets of numbers

Serie NR 292685

My VIN is VIN: YV1LW5715R2072492

Can someone please tell me which kit I need to order? Thank you !

 

The "Serie NR" is your engine serial number so the later model kit should be correct. To the best of my knowledge all of the VIN 57 (Turbo) Volvos had the later model belt.
