Default correct instrument panel bulbs ??

Howdy folks, going to replace the odometer gears tommorrow night after work, want to replace all the instrument panel bulbs while the panel is out. The local Volvo dealer had the small ones for the time-temp readout but only had 1 for the gauges they said it'd be a week to get more in. I bought the 1 they had and it says 3watt on it, I went to a local parts house, thier application guide didn't show anything even similiar to the bulb the dealer gave me. But they had a wagner #158 bulb that looks identical and the parts guy got out the spec book and found that it's rated at 3.38 watts. I remember reading on here somewhere about melting the plastic with too hot of bulb, would the wagner #158 be acceptable or is there another readily available subsitute.

Thats pretty much what we use at work.
If you are really worried about getting hot turn the dimmer down a little.

Try Radio Shack..................I found dash bulbs for a European auto that worked quite well.
