V70 2.4T 2002. How difficult is it to replace bulbs on the instrument panel?

Time consuming.
You need to remove the upper dash pad to replace them.

Time is one thing, but never quite fitting everything back exactly, is my main concern(I've seen several "dashboards" that never quite looked neat and flush, once worked on). Tech what should I do? Should I have a Pro take care of it?

Which ones are burnt out? I don't think I would pay a dealer to change the bulbs in the dash. I have taken the cover off my 97 850 and got it back on OK. There is a little rattle in the middle that I need to find though, but it looks fine. If you do it yourself, just be extra careful and remember some of the screws are going into plastic so just snug them up, do not over tighten. If you are not at all hand at doing stuff like this, try to find somebody who is to help out. It is the kind of thing I would trust my youngest daughter or my son to do cause they would be good at it.

The one behind the clock and outside temp is out. If I attempt to change it, should I also do the other one?

Hey Tech, the passenger side of the temp control light is out in my sons 850. Does it require removing the dash pad to access the control unit? I noticed in my Haynes manual for the manual temp that you can access from the front, but his has the auto temp control and when I pulled the ***** I didn't see any screws to remove.

Pull the radio then push the climate module out from behind.
Then you will have to open it up to replace the bulb.
