Default couple suspention questions

Hey guys! Long time no post! Picked up an 850 Turbo a few months ago (it's about time!) and I'm just getting around to the maintenance on it

My front driver side hub is going out and because I already had kind of a goofy steering "hitch" before, I figured I'd just save myself the time and do the inner/outter tie rods and ball joints too. The struts were allegedly already done and I haven't been having issues with the suspension other than that so I'm hoping this'll do for a now.

Couple questions though....I've got a nasty grating sound from the front driver side every time I hit the sloped curb at the end of my drive way. It doesn't sound like your typical strut mount (and that'd be poor form if they neglected to change those out with the struts)...it's almost like a crunching metal dragged across a washing board sound. I'm already into this car for the hub assembly, tie rods and ball joints....any ideas what else it might be?

And by virtue of tearing the car apart I'm hoping I'll find an obvious solution to this question....just hoping someone's got insight prior to me buttoning up the first round of repairs. Know what I mean?

Check the underneath of the fender where the tire would touch when turned, you will most likely have some rubbing.. sounds like the tire rubbing on the plastic of the well or the metal of the fender..
Mine did that with 55 series tires, balled the inside of the fender and went to 50 series tires and no more rubbing..
But thats just my thoughts and past experience...

I had rubbing there for a little while, quickly destroyed a tire.
