Hello: When I first got this car the dashboard lights were not working. I thought it may be the dimmer switch. I banged the dashboard a bit with my hand hoping a loose wire would be the culprit, but nothing. Then I swapped out the fuse (#35) and that lit it up. This was fine for few days but now they are off again. It tried swapping out the fuse again but no luck. I would hate to put in a new dimmer switch because that would involve taking the dashboard apart. (Unless someone know an easier way of doing this.) Any suggestions out there?

 

The dash dimmer switch simply pulls out, no dash removal necessary. I have a spare if you need it (pm me).

 

Thank you rspi for the offer. I actually have one that I took out of a car at the jy.. How do you pull it out? I had to push a dash board up and get the screws loose on the side to get to it. It came in two parts.. How does it pop out? I will try doing this tomorrow..

Well I replaced the dimmer as per the instructions, changed the fuse and still no dashboard lights...thank you anyway..

 

quite often it is the headlight switch itself that is the culprit. Mine would turn off at random, and my switch was at fault.
