Default disabling abs light temporarily

hey guys

ive got the typical abs light problem
i got defected the other day, and they have noted the abs light as a defect.. so now ive got to fix whatevers causing it and show the inspector next week so that i dont get a fine and what not... but i cant afford a new abs module.
i know its a big ask but i might as well give it a try and ask if anyone knows how i can temporarily disable the abs error light from lighting up once the cars started (without removing the bulb as he may get sus if it dosent light up whislt the key is in the II position)

cheers

No way that I know of.

Some places will rebuild them for like $100.00 to $150.00

What year is your 850? I got an extra ABS module for 850 w/ TRACS -3 y. ago my ABS+TRACS went out, and my mechanic detected bad ABS pump, then dealer said it was bad ABS computer,"giving wrong code". So, I bought both as one unit from a junk yard.. Turned out it was defective pump, not ABS. I was thinking of selling it off ebay, but never did.

If you are sure it IS the computer, and your car has TRACTION control, e-mail me.
I'm in New York.

1995 850 GLT

PS
Dealer wanted $600.00 for the module +$200.00 labor to install it. When I asked "what if it is not the problem?" the service guy said: "Then you'll need ABS pump $1200.00".

Get good diagnostics/mechanic otherwise you may replace the module w/ no good result.

If you are good in soldering things, you may try to open the module and resolder connections on it-you carefully remove cover, when cover is removed, remove silicone covering the "motherboard" and w/ a magnifying glass look for lose connectors there. Use good quality solder, DO NOT use acid to clear the contacts prior to re-soldering, and cover everything w/ silicone or laquer, then put cover back on using silicone to make the seal between cover and housing waterproof. There is interesting link-it's in Russian, but has pics of the process:

ABS fix (russian)

I guesss when you do not have money to buy a new one, they try to fix it.

What year is 850? If "95 or before, pull the code(s) and see what it says. If after 1995, you need a diagnostic tool to get the codes and see what they are. Could be simple wheel sensor replacement, or whole abs system .

This is my saga: After driving for ~6 months (bought the car used 5 y. old), ABS and TRACS came ON. My mech pulled code "right rear solenoid open or closed circuit" meaning the fault in ABS system, NOT module.
When I asked my mech if he is sure, he said "go to the dealer let them run diagnostics"-
Dealer says:' You have defective ABS computer" ?%# ?I asked why my mech pulled code for the ABS system the dealer's guy replied: "The computer is bad and throwing wrong codes. New computer is $800.00" I say "what if it does not fix the problem?" He replies "then You need to change ABS-$1200.00"
Tried another computer from junk yard - Light still ON.

Bought the whole assembly ABS + module for $325 from junk yard(ABS alone would be only $50 cheaper), my guy replaced it for 150, and it has been working fine (Knock x3 on wood)
That is how I got extra module - used one that I bought, and still have my original.

PS
If I trusted the dealer would pay $2000.00
