Do 850's come with "auto-lock" feature???
Is it a function that can be enabled? I've had several cars in the past that either when you put transmission in "Drive" or reached certain speed, the car locks itself, then opens when you remove the key from the ingition lock. Please let me know.
Thanks

I think Auto Lock is a safety transgression. If you are driving down the road, get into an accident, you do NOT want your doors locked. That will make it hard for someone to help you if you are not able to get out on your own.
I agree with RSPI -- that is a safety issue. I remember some Chrysler car in the mid-90s had that self-locking feature. Mercedes S class (probably the most over-engineered production cars imported from Europe), with self-closing doors, did not have a self-locking feature. I am sure if Mercedes could make doors close by themselves (vacuum-operated Closing Assist system), would be able to lock them when over 20 mph for example.
Although cars are selling the feature that an auto unlock is safer if you get into a crash, if you really need an auto lock function the Viper alarm systems come with one so thats a route you could take.
