I have a 95 850 turbo, on occasion when I shut the drivers door the light down by the drivers shin does not shut off. I can not see a plunger switch either on the door or on the car frame.

Can anyone educate me where the contact is that shuts this light off as the door shuts? Thanks in advance!

Dont know if the 850 works the same as the S70, but I had the same problem and it was the microswitch in the door lock actuator.
The car "sensed" that the door was open, I unplugged it and cleaned everything to no avail.
