You've probably read my post about problems with my door locks...

Last night, as I was drifting off to sleep, I told myself, I had better take the 10 minutes to put one of my 850 handles back on my car (swapped them out for v70 handles) so if the remote completely failed, I could get in.

So, this morning, I pulled the V70 handle off, and reinstalled the 850 drivers front handle.

The handle is installed... but I can't get it to lock or unlock using the key!

A white, round, tapered thing with a hole in the middle fell into the door I'm guessing that used to hold the lock 'pin' in the right place in the latch assembly to operate, and without it, it can't lock.

Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Next thing I need.. a white V70 drivers side front door handle with lock cylinder.. that I'll adjust the tumblers in to match the original car's keys..

 

Turns out, that little funnel shaped part is what I needed.
