Hi, I recently bought a 1997 850R, and pretty much everything works (some rattling that I just haven't felt like fixing), but the previous owner didn't have a remote unlock/lock, so I can only use the key. The problem is when I turn the key twice to unlock all the doors, it unlocks all the doors, then immediately locks them all. I really have no idea what I should even look for to fix this. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

Check your trunk lock out. Spray some lube in the lock and work the key a few times. I have heard of a sticking trunk lock causing this issue. If that is not your problem, check fuse or central locking relay. If still no go, check the wiring in the door jamb first, then behind the DS door panel. Hope this helps. Also, if your car did not come standard with factory keyless. I have an extra receiver, I'll sell you for cheap. You'll still need to track down the remote though.
