Driver Door Switch
Hey,
My driver door on my 1995 850 Turbro Sedan has a problem. It isn't dented or anything, but the light that comes on when the door is open comes on even when it is closed. If I firmly close the door, while driving, ir I hit a bump, or accelerate hard, the light comes on, and it makes a dinging noise as if it were open. The light is the one by the driver door foot pedals. I think I have a bad hinge, that being said, besides this issue, the door seems to function fine. I was just wondering if there is anyway to disable the thing that makes the light come on, and triggers the dinging noise.
-Thanks

RE: Driver Door Switch
Remove the bulbs, or see below for some serious disabling procedures. Consult EPA for local regulations before use.

RE: Driver Door Switch
You can yank the "relay" and shut it up. It is located in the lower central electrical unit which is mounted high on the firewall behind the dash. The "relay" in question is number 212. It is typically blue and it has slots cut in the top of it. It really isn't a relay but it plugs in along with the relays.
