My car is a 1994 model and just recently I have had a lot of a trouble with the automatic reclining ability of the driver side chair. And now...it is stuck in the "lying down" position. I can hear the motor going back and forth, but it no longer moves the chair. It is now extremely uncomofortable driving my car. Has this happened to anyone before? If so, can you tell how to fix it or where I can go to get it fixed. Please...

I wouldshop a local interior/trim shop first -if they aren't sure what they are doing give them the link to Tech's writeup. The interior shops do this kind of stuff all day. Beyond that an independent car shop that does a lot of Volvo work and as a last resort a Volvo dealer.

Your other option would be to get a whole replacement seat froma salvage yard. It is held in with 4 bolts and a few electrical connectors.
