Default Dropping the Fuel Tank

Im going to drop my tank this weekend to repair some of the evap and overflow lines that are cracked and tips an tricks to dropping it?

Besides making sure the tank is empty....

With fuel the item links below would be a one time use since they were designed for water. I would drive it to get the majority out. You could probably manage it from there just if you dont want to get it all out but if you dont be sure to use some good support under it.

Fluid Siphon Pump

or

Multi-Use Transfer Pump

or

All Purpose Drill Water Pump

or

The one I have is a two gallon hand pumped vacuum tank but I cant find it on their site now. I can tell you its blue ;-)

Our S70 has a valve stem at the fuel filter. Can't you just remove the stem from there and pump it out (jump the fuel pump), or pump it out through the rail ?

Either that or remove the fuel filter line and jump the pump also..

you should be able to just turn the key to the on position i think..

would a cracked overflow/vent line to the tank possibly cause lower MPG?
