Alright, at some point in my 850 turbo's life it blew a head gasket and it was given a whole new engine and transmission. When we purchased it the past owners didn't know what year the engine came out of. I haven't searched very hard but I would like to know where the vin is so I can know for sure.

 

The VIN? The car vin is located in several places on the car. The drivers door edge sticker, the base of the windshield, under the hood, the trunk, etc.

The engine SN is on the back of the motor. The head being replaced will not matter, the sn is on the block.
