Volvo doesn't actually make spark plugs, they contract that out and put them in a nice volvo package.
A compression test is a good idea, I had a ford turbo thunderbird, that blew the gasket between 2 cylinders, it ran ok at light boost, would actually clear up with some boost, but as I recall it didn't idle very well.
I cleaned the conectors to the crank position sensor and the cam sensor, and put a diffrent used airflow sensor in. It seemed to improve, but still have the same problem. Wonder if a weak airflow sensor has trouble sensing low flow, light load at steady speed?
I had a wiring problem with the 700 series turbo wagon that I had before this car, a oil leak had damaged the injector wiring. The 850 series has the wiring in that plastic cover, wasn't able to trace and inspect the injector wiring. There are 5 green wires and a diffrent wire for each injector, I assume the 5 green ones are grounds?? Do the 5 green wires go all the way back to ECU, or do they connect to ground somewhere? Can I just cut the green wires and connect to a good ground?
It starts fine, idles and accelerates, just stubbles and misses at light load steady speed. Sometimes it almost feels like a vibration, sometimes feels like it's tring to just shut off, but give it just a little gas and it clears up!!!
