Engine Rebuild #2
well i found my problem-- i need to replace cylinders 4&5 piston rings - i ordered a full set so ill just go ahead and do all 5 - smart idea i want to fix it 1nce and for all - shes my baby-going to do the pistons with engine in place - i dont have a lift to pull engine and no money to rent one - it shouldnt be tooo awfully difficult i dont think - i can get to the bolts from oil pan and push pistons up and out - this will fix my crankcase pressure problem finally and then i can get on with life -- i will try to post pics as i go along
1 quick question -- my piston configuration is D-D-E-E-D WILL STANDARD RINGS FIT THEM ??
QUICK RESPONSE FROM ANYONE THAT KNOWS THANX
i dont want to get them in set of 5 if they dont fit but it says its the standard set so ifts all i guess

Update
well got the oil sump out after much trial and tribulation - removed all the pistons and they were burnt up pretty badly ( the rings were ) also found that the bearings were scored really bad as if someone threw a bag of sand in the engine - oil pan had what appeared to be sand in it even after first clean out
all clean now - new rings installed -waiting on bearings / head gasket and head bolt replacements ( that was an expensive mistake with the head bolts)
assembly begins when they arrive'
