tech,thanks for all the input. I will post my results after the new temp sensor. I drove it about 30 miles today,didn't act up at all. my wife is still tooling around in it,I will ask her when she gets home if acted up on her.since I'm only 130 miles from IPD,I should get the new temp sensor by Wed or Thur next week.

it started revving up again last night. not as bad as before though. CEL came on too. I will have them scan it Monday and post the code.

ECT or thermostat is bad.
IMO I would just replace both.

by ECT you mean the sensor,right?

got the temp sensor and t-stat in the mail today. ordered new tailgate shocks yesterday,and a bra today. had someone back into us and need to "cover" the minor damage they caused.

new t-stat and temp sensor installed today. took about 15 minutes for both. hope this fixes it!
