I really don't want to change more then I have to. I would like to just drop it in and not have to swap that much over. The engine I found has 122,000 on it which I don't think is a lot considering I have 329,000 on the engine that's in my car know that was running tops. It would have a lot more had I changed the water pump when I did the timing belt. It's my fault I killed the car should have spent the extra money for the pump, but it had no sign's it was going. I know everyone say's to replace the pump when doing the belt that's my fault know I have to do a transplant.

How many miles do you think was on the pump? Did it ever leak?

I bought the car with 143.000 on it for $3000.00 and put almost 200.000 on it all highway miles and never replaced it and no it did not leak i must have gotten a good pump. I know that I should have put at least 3 or 4 pumps in it already but there was no signs that it was going . I have changed the oil every 3.000 done numerus tune ups lots of brake jobs. My father used to say don't fix it unless it's broke I should have replaced the pump okay i am stupid .

lesson learned this new motor will be different on replacing the pump. I want to see how many miles I can get out of the engine. It is like a game I love these car's, my neighbor's son was so happy when I spun the belt because the car died he's all ready killed like 5 car's from the day I pick up this one but she'll be running soon and passing him on the highway again.

Hello rspi $ mattyxxl, I want to THANK YOU BOTH for your input. I went today with my son and picked up the motor. The person I picked it up from had a vidio of the motor running just before he removed it pirrrring like a kitten. It has 113.000 on the odometer .Well of course we had a snow storm today about 9" fell, so I am going to have to wait till the snow disappears before I can replace the engine I will be posting back. THANK YOU AGAIN.
