Default erratic boost

I installed a boost gauge in my 95 850 to see where it was and saw some very inconsistant readings. It seems the car is at 9lbs MOST of the time which I understand in stock. But it seems the turbo at WOT goes from 9lbs down to 6-7lbs and then back to 9lbs. On the freeway if I floor it, the trans kicks down the turbo seems to flucuate between 6-9lbs. First 9 then 6 then maybe 8 then 6 again then up to 9.

From my reading the bleeder valves on the turbo go bad. Is this what is causing this. Is this erratic boost normal on these cars???

Thanks
Jeremy

Well the EBC might be acting up. Also check all your hoses and make sure they are all good.

I know my 15G is pretty crappy about holding the max boost. I also here is it common on the 15G's as well.

I have mine set to about 13 PSI but I hit 13 PSI for a few seconds then it bleeds town to about 10 and holds there.

Sometimes mine boosts like yours as well. If you have the 15G then it might be normal.

Hell i dont know if it is a 15g, is that stock on the car?
Also when you say EBC do you mean electronic boost controller?
It really doesnt have a problem holding the boost at higher rpms, it goes up and then down and then back up again as it goes thru the gear.

Yes thats what I mean for the EBC.
If it is a t-5 then it should be the 15G turbo. If you can I would install a MBC and see if the boost acts different.

Install it between the compressor side hose and the waste gate hose.
