fan quit working fuse is ok??
I have a 1995 850 turbo and the cabin blower quit working. The fuse is ok. How can you tell if it is the Resistor that needs to be replaced. Any help will be much appreciated. thx

Hard wire the fan to see if it works. The Resistor regulates ground so you just need to make sure there is power on one side of the fan (red) then provide a ground to the other (black) and see it if goes. If so, bad resistor
I am a little worried here. How are you mechanically?
The Red wire on the fan should have power on it all the time(with the key on)
The Black wire gets different amounts of ground to it from the resistor.
With that said, if you put a FUSED wire that is connected to ground and touch it to the black wire input on the fan the fan should go provided its not bad.

When my resistor pack went out the fan would shut off when I had it at full speed. It would be dead from there, then if I shut the key off then turned it back on it would work again until the next time. Problem solved when the pack was replaced. This is a climate Controlled system.
