Default Foose 850

The Bodington/Foose 850 sits in the garage with a fractured #2 cylinder.

No BBORR this year for the Foose car.

Replacement 2012 Mustang 5.0 was good to go. Won BBORR SR95 class with 1.8 seconds off perfect.

I said the Foose car would humble Corvettes. Mustang did it instead. Corvette ZR1, Lotus and Audi were defeated.

I still have hopes for the Foose car in the BBORR. Stay tuned for next year.

Did it split the Cyl sleeve or bend a rod?

Leakdown test suggests broken rings. Maybe cracked piston. Not enough time this year to chase it out.

THIS CAR IS NOT UGLY!!!

Besides, I got a great deal on matching yellow Nomex SFI 3.2a/5 racing suits.

How in the world did that happen? The car doesn't have that many miles on it, does it?

I think about the race every year. It's on my bucket list. Maybe next year. (Sigh)

I remember your post when you bought that thing. A lot of people gave you a hard time. How is it looking now?

Sad state of affairs. When I took delivery of the car it seemed fine.. drove it around the block a couple of times, no problem.

Then lined up for a full boost 30-70 run. Got home, water everywhere. Water hose to turbo had failed. Hints that boost had gotten into water jacket.

Waited on hose two weeks, installed, running rough. Missing on #2.

Leakdown test shows blow past piston. Head gasket failure not likely.

So, where is real problem? No time to teardown, working like dog in oilfield.

Simple solution, buy Mustang, go racing.

Unable to post pictures of dust covered Foose car with cat prints. Bad karma.

Still, I own one Mustang and four Volvos, you know where the heart lies.
