Default Front Suspention

I have a volvo 850 turbo. I changed the front suspention and noticed after the instalation that the ruber washer on top of the struts mount, located in the engine has a 1/2 space between it and the struts mount. is this normal? I seem to get a rough ride. i want to know if it is normal before i start prowling for the solution.

Yes there will be a gap there.
Somewhere on the forum is a post with pics about it.

i installed monroe struts but i dont feel happy with it. i am planning on switching to KYB

Either go OEM(Saches or Boge) or Bilsteins if you can.

By the way, bought 2 camber adjusting bolt but they dont fit thru the holes on the struts. is the cambers adjustable? the holes seems to be an exact circle instead of oval. any suggestions.

There is a little room with the OEM bolts but not much.
I have camber bolts on my Yellow car. If you have the right ones you can adjust the camber quite a bit.

do u know off hands which ones u have or where u bought them? did u bring it to a shop to adjust the cambers? I do all the work on all my cars by myself so i am mechanical enclined

A buddy gave them to me. He ordered to many kits and gave me one set.
I installed them but had everything adjusted by an alignment shop.

Sorry I do not have the box anymore. I know he ordered them off of E-bay and they were in a red and white box.

I am very happy with Sachs/Boge and Bilstien Struts.
