Default Funny Inspection Story

So there I was sitting in line for inspection and my check engine light comes on. I know its the evap control, its always the evap control, code 315. So anyways, I get a little nervous about passing inspection, I'm next in line, so what do I do but jump out, pop the hood, and proceed to clear my codes with all the inspectors watching me! The light shuts of, I pull into get inspected, and wouldn't you know it, I PASSED!!!! Quick acting and a little shady maneuvering really paid off this time! Thanks Volvo for the DTC box!!!

Ha, isn't that the way things work! Too funny..... At least you passed! I'm glad we don't have to deal with that here in Fla!

Me either, in Wisconsin, if your car is over I think 13 or 14 years old, you don't have to do inspection/emissions, but at the same time, I have my car registered at my cabin, where it's not required, unlike the city I actually live in where it is.

Good job!!!
I had same luck with my moms 97 Mazda 626. As I was pulling into the control station CEL comes on so I made U turn and went home to clear it with my OBDII scanner. Went back to the station. There where 8 cars in the front of me and finally after 20 min waiting car passed. When I was pulling off on the street light come back. Not more than 1 min from the time guy disconnected their computer from the car. Lucky hah!?
